Phalaborwa: Help police find mentally challenged men

The police in Namakgale have launched a search operation for missing persons.

Two males went missing in separate incidents.

It is reported that Joel Maredi Mapheto (22), a resident of Namakgale, went missing on Tuesday, September 4 around 22:00.

“He is mentally challenged and was last seen wearing black takkies, a black trouser, with a maroon T-Shirt at the time of his disappearance,” stated the Namakgale police in a statement.

In an unrelated incident, Tumelo Pilusa (33), a resident from Mashishimale Village also left home without informing anyone where he was going on Saturday, September 1.

“Tumelo is also mentally challenged and was last seen wearing a white short trouser, a black jersey and grey shoes,” said Sergeant Selepe.
He further stated that Tumelo is light in complexion and medium in height.

“Police and family members tried to locate the missing persons but all was so far in vain,” conclude Selepe.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of these men should contact Sergeant Lebogang Selepe on 079 5666 215 or the nearest police station.
