MAAKE: Local man hijacked at gunpoint

Police found the owner of the vehicle inside the boot of his car

This after a 47-year-old man was loaded into the boot of his own car and driven to Julesburg in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is reported that the complainant, Mr Edward Mohale, was drinking together with his wife on Saturday evening.

Upon returning to their home at approximately 00h20, whilst waiting at the gate to their premises, three suspects arrived and pointed at Mohale with a firearm.

They loaded Mohale into the boot of his own car, a silver VW Golf 6, and drove away with him, leaving his wife at the gate to their home.

It is reported that the motor vehicle was recovered later on by Maake SAPS at Julesburg and the complainant was still inside the boot.
He was safely rescued.

The suspects are still unknown and police investigations are continuing.
