A well-known businessman, Timothy Ncube, of ALW Investments donated 37 pairs of school uniforms to the needy students at Babangu Primary school in Babangu village in the Giyani area recently.

According to Ncube, it was an opportunity to give back to the community and invest in someone’s future.

“I don’t give because I have money, but I give because I want to make a change and an impact in someone’s life.

“It doesn’t matter where you come from, but what matters is where you are going in life.

“Education is the only thing that can change a person’s life,” he added.

Ncube was accompanied by his wife Jessica Ncube and their daughter, Councillor from the City of Johannesburg Municipality, Alison Roberts.

Greater Giyani Mayor, Sasavona Mathebula, applauded Ncube for the donations and also called other businessmen to emulate him.

“As the municipality, we would like to thank him for the good work that he has done and we also call on other business people to follow his footsteps and help the school, as it still has a lots of needs.”she said.

Mathebula also encouraged learners to focus on their studies because they are the future leaders .

School Governing Body (SGB) Chairman Sizeka Maluleke also acknowledged the donations and applauded the great work done .

Last year the school also received gifts from Mr Vaheed Patel of Quick save supermarket.
