The ninth annual Berry Festival took place in Haenertsburg on the weekend of the February, 3 and 4.
The event turned out to be an unbelievable success and despite terrible looking forecasts, the weather stayed bright and welcoming.
Letaba Herald spoke with event organiser, Linda Miller, “we had a terrific turnout, the place just pumped.”
Linda owes the continued success of the annual event to the stall holders and their lovely products.
This year saw over 70 stalls selling a range of goodies including; stunning foods, local crafts, clothes and drinks galore.
The Berry Festival is just going from strength to strength year after year, and it is incredible to think that it started out with just eight stalls when it began nine years ago.
Live music helped to keep the party vibe going with local artists such as Jahworx, Barefoot Breeze and Framus entertaining the crowds at Blueberry Heights.
The Trail Run on Sunday boasted an impressive 350 entrants, who ran and walked the 3km, 5km, and 9km routes.
Linda Miller would like to thank Enterprise Foods for sponsoring the gazebos and sound system at the festival, as well as the water for the trail run.
