Now is the time to vote for Oscarine Masuleke as your winner of the Puskás Award

Oscarine Masuleke has unlocked a lot of firsts by simply making the top 3 for the award, and a possible win could be the greatest of them all.

After going up against nine other spectacular goals in the first round of the award, he was named on October 9 as one of the top 3 for the annual award given to the scorer of the best goal of the year.

His top 3 spot was earned by his spectacular bicycle kick in stoppage-time to equalise against Orlando Pirates on November 30 2016.

Masuluke, who hails from Nwamankena in Giyani, didn’t even see his goal win the PSL goal of the season in 2016/2017.

The MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Onicca Moloi is appealing to all Africans to vote for the Baroka FC goalkeeper, who stands a chance to become the first African and goalkeeper to win the FIFA Puskas Award.

“The time for Africa is now. A win for Oscarine Masuluke will be a huge inspiration to youngsters who look up to him and many other football players on our continent as role models,” said MEC Moloi.

“I’ve already cast my vote and I’m urging all the people of Limpopo, compatriots and fellow citizens of Africa to vote for one of our own . This will only take you three minutes at most,” MEC Moloi added.

Voting closes on October 23.
